Human Capital Multidisciplinary Research Center has published a special issue of the research digest. It presents the results of a quantitative analysis of the creative class in Russia – people employed in professions related to creative and intellectual activities, carried out by the Institute for Statistical Studies and Economics of Knowledge (HSE University).

Complexity economics is a new, rapidly unfolding phenomenon that presents a holistic view of reality, unveiling previously invisible processes and interdependences, and offering solutions to many complex socio-economic problems. Its key aspects, tools, and promising research areas were the focus of the expert workshop “Complexity Economics and Hidden Growth Sources” hosted by the  Foresight and STI Governance journal in the round table format on 22 December 2022.

Human Capital Multidisciplinary Research Center has published the seventeenth issue of the research digest. It identifies the state and prospects for Russia’s organic farming under the global eco-development trends as outlined by the Institute of Social Sciences (RANEPA)

From December 5-8, 2022, Kazan hosted an international forum dedicated to the UNESCO Convention on the Protection of Cultural and Natural Heritage 50’s anniversary. The Convention has become an important stage in recognizing the world heritage value and uniting all countries supporting this idea. A World Heritage List is being compiled under the auspices of UNESCO, which already includes 1,154 objects of cultural and natural heritage from all around the world. Participants from 56 countries of the world discussed the management of World Cultural Heritage Sites, environmental management and conservation of the World Natural Heritage. A total of 10 scientific conferences were held within the forum.

It presents the results of a comparative analysis of the pension systems transformation in the Visegrad Group, conducted by the researchers of the Center for European Studies within the Institute of International Studies at MGIMO University.

Online-conference "Social and non-cognitive skills and labour market", organized within the framework of the HSE Human Capital Multidisciplinary Research Centre, was held on September, 22, 2022.

In 2022, a HSE University department joined the ranks of UNESCO Futures Literacy Chairs. This builds on the work of the ISSEK International Research and Educational Foresight Centre, and the activity of the Human Capital Multidisciplinary Research Centre. Professor Alexander Sokolov, head of the new department, Director of the International Research and Educational Foresight Centre, and Deputy Director of HSE ISSEK, spoke about the establishment, aims and objectives of the UNESCO Chair on Future Studies.

The Human Capital Multidisciplinary Research Center has published the 13th issue of the scientific digest. According to the research, in reinforcement learning, coding of choice results occurs in a context-dependent manner.
