The focus of development is shifting from the global to the regional level. The main trends of the foreseeable future –  the fragmentation of the world political order, the regionalization of economic relations and the international legal system, the emergence of new mechanisms of cooperation – are the main topic of the new issue of trendletters, produced as part of a joint project of the Human Capital Multidisciplinary Research Center and the UNESCO Futures Studies Chair (UNESCO Futures Literacy Chairs network).

On 10 November 2023 an international round table discussion was held at the Higher School of Economics on the topic of “Bridging the Gap Between Technological Complexity and Cognitive Ability in Working With the Future”. The event was hosted by the editorial board of the Foresight and STI Governance Journal. 

The progress in genomic and cellular technologies, medical bioinformatics, and the active use of information technologies (IT) in medicine allowed to move on towards a new model of medical care based on a personalized approach to the patient. The Human Capital Multidisciplinary Research Centre published the twenty eighth issue of the research digest. We present the results of a major study of the practices of strategic governmental planning in the field of human development for 38 member states of the Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) using content analysis of the text arrays in English, as well as a study in national languages carried out at MGIMO‒University.
