Honorary paper by Professor Branko Milanovich Three Eras of Global Inequality in 1820-2020 and the Changes of the Last Three Decades

The paper included three big issues - the "era of global inequality", the ratio of inter- and intra-country inequality in income distribution, as well as absolute and relative measures of inequality. Branko Milanovich paid special attention to the redistribution of income and cross-country inequality in the era of "intensive globalization" - 1988-2008... He showed that the reduction of global inequality due to income growth in Asian countries, primarily in China, is coming to an end. Since 2020, inequality between countries has stopped decreasing, and therefore there has been a serious obstacle to poverty reduction.
