Key Findings

2020

The research project has been implemented since 2021

2021

The analysis of time use in Russia as a component of a well-being assessment has been carried out. Tendencies in the time use for some social groups (including the example of working women with children in Russia) under the influence of the COVID-19 pandemic have been revealed

2022

Estimates of the time spent by Russians on the main types of activities have been obtained. Trends in the use of time budgets in the conditions of the COVID-19 pandemic have been analyzed, taking into account the persistence of a serious gender gap in the amount of time spent on unpaid work, blurred boundaries between working and non-working time associated with the spread of remote employment formats, predominance of online communication with friends and relatives over the traditional format of communication, as well as development of digital format as a full-fledged alternative for cultural content consumption

Children's drawings as an answer to the question "What is the most important thing in life for you?"

Studies of children's well-being and children's time budgets have shown that children call family, communication and personal achievements the most important things in their lives. Children enjoy both live communication and online communication equally.

On average, children spend 6 hours and 29 minutes on the Internet a day. At home and at school, children spend the same amount of time on weekdays – almost 6 hours a day.
