Human Capital Multidisciplinary Research Center Congratulates IEA RAS on the 90th Anniversary

On April 11, 2023, the Miklukho-Maklay Institute of Ethnology and Anthropology of the Russian Academy of Sciences turned 90 years old. In honor of the anniversary, the Presidium of the Russian Academy of Sciences organized a solemn event in the Presidential Hall. The meeting was attended by scientists, public figures, and government representatives. The Vice-Rector of the HSE Lilia Ovcharova, as well as Deputy Vice-Rector of the HSE Maria Nagernyak, Advisor to the Vice-Rector of the HSE Olga Voron and leading expert of Human Capital Multidisciplinary Research Center Irina Tushilkina attended the event.

On behalf of the Human Capital Multidisciplinary Research Center and the HSE University, Lilia Ovcharova congratulated the leadership of the Institute (Director Dmitry Funk and Deputy Director Roman Starchenko) on the anniversary, noting the long and fruitful cooperation between the organizations. She stressed that the Institute not only brought up several generations of highly qualified specialists, but also created conditions for the growth and development of anthropological science.

Today IEA RAS is a dynamically developing scientific center with a powerful research base. Its achievements in the field of fundamental science and applied research cannot go unnoticed – they are widely used in Russia and will help develop domestic science for decades to come.  The fruitful cooperation between the two organizations, which has developed within the framework of the Human Capital Multidisciplinary Research Center program, deserves special mention. As the result of their productive collaboration, they created an exhibition Anthropological and Neurocognitive Clusters – an Environment for Breakthrough Scientific Research, held within the framework of the XXIV Yasin (April) International Academic Conference on Economic and Social Development.
