Context of Research Project within a Subject of Human Capital

The country's ability to sustain economic growth, economical structural transformation and technological upgrade is based on maintaining innovative potential. The problems of innovation potential development are considered in the context of building and improving the efficiency of open innovations ecosystem, which provide space for combining the efforts of various actors and knowledge complementarity, competencies (in other words, human potential), technologies and business models. The role of such an ecosystem only increases in conditions of transformative impact of new technologies on activities related to the generation of knowledge. The transformational potential of technologies is realized in the context of socio-technical systems evolution and affects the behavior patterns of companies, other organizations, individuals, and the ability to perceive technologies turns out to be a central element in the models and strategies of technological development, improving the welfare of society.

The research project Studying Transformational Potential of Organizations and Households in the Ecosystem of Open Innovations focuses on measuring and analyzing the transformational potential of new technologies in the context of the open nature of innovation process. The results obtained will allow to analyze the use of technologies in various aspects of public relations (person-person, person-state, person-work, etc.) in open innovation processes, assess the readiness of organizations and the population for technological future.

Project Aim

Develop a theoretical framework and methodology for research on the transformational potential of organizations and households in the ecosystem of open innovations

Project Objectives:

1. Research transformational potential of organizations and disseminate innovative practices at the household level

2. Conduct research on the technological transformation of innovative activity of companies and the level of technologization of households

3. Analyze the ecosystem of open innovations: expand the concept of ‘climate innovation’, taking into account the accumulated results of empirical studies of the innovation culture of companies, analyze external conditions and infrastructural opportunities for implementing innovations in households and assess the sustainability of user innovations over time.

Mapping the subject field of the generated array of scientific publications using the automated system for analyzing bibliographic sources VOSviewer allowed us to identify the dominant research areas of innovative culture.

It has been revealed that the most often researchers identify such factors of innovation as knowledge management (heuristic factors), "open innovation", creativity, motivation, leadership, "organization and management", training, factors of psychology and culture. The current study shows that the most developed in terms of the number of scientific papers and actively developing area of innovation research is knowledge management, which includes the problems of organizational forms and organizational factors of innovation ("open innovations"), on the one hand, and "digital" topics (information management, machine learning, artificial intelligence), on the other hand. This area has the potential to become one of the central ones in the further study of innovation in organizations and factors of innovation culture.

Mapping of scientific publications using the VOSviewer automated bibliographic source analysis system

Note: The size of a node indicates the number of studies on a given topic – the larger it is, the greater the number of publications in it.

Sample: international databases of scientific publications, units of analysis - texts of publications in peer-reviewed scientific journals contained in the Scopus database from 1960 to 2023, including over 87 million publications from 25 thousand regular publications and more than 335 thousand books. The system has indexed 23,452 scientific peer-reviewed journals, 294 business publications, over 850 book series and more than 9.8 million conference materials based on the results of 120 thousand In addition, Scopus contains information on 44 million patents based on data from five patent offices (the World Intellectual Property Organization, the European Patent Office, the Japanese Patent Office, the US Patent and Trademark Office, the UK Intellectual Property Office).
