The study course introduces students to modern research in the field of psychology of social inequality. The psychology of social inequality is a field of interdisciplinary research in psychology, economics, sociology and political science.
5. Economics of Development and Growth. Case of Russia
What are channels of socio-economic development of the Russian economy in terms of modern development economics and the economics of growth? This course aims to develop specific skills to identify and explain economic mechanisms, which cause growth and development of the Russian economy, using modern economic theory, relevant data and methods of quantitative analysis.
Master's Degree Programs:
Interdisciplinary program in neuroscience, psychometrics and education. The program combines knowledge about the development process from the point of view of neuroscience and cognitive psychology with the skills of psychometrics, the modern science of measurement.
The main focus of the program is aimed at developing the ability to reflect on their teaching activities, using research methods in education to evaluate educational innovations.
The uniqueness of the program is combined with deep fundamental training in economic theory, quantitative disciplines and methods of experimental analysis, and applications to economic policy.
The Demography — Economy track is aimed at training specialists who are able to analyze, model and predict demographic changes, integrate the results of demographic analysis into forecasts and programs of socio-economic development of countries and regions.

Cognitive sciences is a unique interdisciplinary field of social and behavioral sciences, combining psychology and neuroscience. The program sets itself the task of creating a world-class master's-postgraduate track, in order to provide the state with specialists in the field of neuroscience with the PhD level.
The master's program is aimed at training HR specialists and expert analysts with broad competencies in the field of digital HR and organizational development, capable of building human management processes in the context of digital transformation, solving applied tasks in the field of human resource management.
12. Study courses Pool Human Potential in an Inclusive Society: Modern Challenges and Development Prospects
The study courses are aimed at developing unique competencies in the field of diversity management, ethical leadership, research and consulting, as well as policy development at the level of state and other institutions in terms of the development of inclusion in Russian society.
The study course reveals approaches in the field of public administration that make it possible to increase the efficiency and effectiveness of authorities in achieving strategic targets in the field of population. As a result of studying the discipline, students will be able to analyze key state policies in the field of demography, human potential. Special emphasis is placed on the disclosure of public health management practices, demographic processes. As part of the course, students study the mechanisms of public administration, taking into account the recommendations of international organizations, as well as national characteristics of countries.
14. Study course Comparative Analysis of Education Systems
The study course is aimed at forming students' understanding of current scientific discussion about approaches, opportunities and boundaries of comparative analysis of educational systems.
15. Study course Modern Challenges and Dimensions of Socio-Economic Development
The study course is aimed at getting students an idea of socio-economic development typologies and their indicators. A special emphasis in the course is made on measurement methodology. The course is developed for students studying in the areas of state and municipal administration, sociology and political science.
16. Human Potential Management Course. Public Administration Master's Program
The course is devoted to the problems of managing two components of human potential at once: education and health. As a result, students form a multifaceted understanding of human potential in general and the uniqueness of education and health as objects of management.

The study course introduces students to the theoretical prerequisites for the formation of linguistic, intercultural and creative soft competencies based on an in-depth analysis of fundamental scientific research in the relevant fields. Actualization of students' creative potential allows them to develop their creative abilities, which are formed on the basis of ordinary cognitive processes and can be used to solve everyday problems.
18. All-University elective The North and the Arctic from Point of View of Social Sciences and Humanities
This all-university elective is aimed at forming students' comprehensive understanding of the vast region, which is conventionally called ‘The North and the Arctic’, and to acquaint them with the main trends in the study of this region in modern social sciences and humanities.
19. Study course Managing Specialization and Infrastructure Provision of Arctic Territories
The study course introduces students to the concept of strategies for smart specialization of regions, in relation to the development of Arctic territories. While studying the discipline, students will get acquainted with the models of management of the development of Arctic territories, specifics of project implementation for the development of Arctic infrastructure (social, transport, communal, etc.) and the development of resources in the Arctic.
20. Study course Socio-economic Development Based on Human Potential: Problems, Prospects and Best Practices in Education
The course offers a new perspective on the “formula for success” of a country, corporation or person in the modern world, with an emphasis on the increasing role of creative initiative “agentic” behavior, improving the environment and ensuring individual well-being. A critical interdisciplinary review of modern and classical theories of social change (sociology), economic growth (economics), as well as theories of personality and education (psychology and pedagogy) is conducted, presenting the latest empirical trends that justify a new approach to human development. In addition, the "secrets of success" of individual educational initiatives and best practices of human development at the level of states and corporations are analyzed in detail.
